April has been such a full and colourful month! Lots of finished blankets, yarn packs, new designs, and some really lovely moments in everyday life too 💛

Here’s a little look at what I’ve been up to…

🧶 Featured Pattern – Crochet Now Magazine

This month was such a special one…

My Snuggle Blooms blanket is featured in Issue 133 of Crochet Now magazine, and I’m even on the front cover (bottom left corner!) 🥹🧶✨

This design is all about soft, squishy texture and those happy spring colours, the kind of blanket you just want to wrap up in straight away ☁️🌈

🌈 Rainbow Cuddle Blanket… finished ✨

This one just makes me SO happy 😍 All those bright, bold colours coming together… it really does feel like wrapping up in a rainbow. I loved every minute of making this, and seeing it finished like this makes it all worth it 🫶

This Yarnsmiths Chenille Chunky yarn (from Wool Warehouse) is honestly so lovely to work with and gives the most beautifully squishy texture 💗

🌷 Spring in Bloom

A little throwback to this one from last year… 🌸🧶

My Spring in Bloom blanket, designed for Wool Warehouse, still feels like the perfect project for this time of year 💛

I made it in two colourways, a brighter version in Yarnsmiths Create DK and a softer pastel version in Pebble Haze DK! And I honestly love them both 🌈

There’s also a little bonus matching cushion pattern included, plus videos to help you along the way 🫶

I’ve been working on this bag recently… and it’s now a free pattern ✨🧶

Made using the Cotton Twist yarn from Stylecraft, and I’ve really loved how it’s worked up 💛

The colours and texture are just so lovely, one of those simple, satisfying makes

💖 Blossom Hearts… finished 💖

It’s finally complete… and I honestly couldn’t be happier with how this one turned out 🥹🧶

From all those individual hearts to seeing it come together as a full blanket, this has been such a special make 💕

🩵 Poppy’s Baby Blanket

I’ve started making this one again… 🩵💗

This time using Hobbii Universe in the Orion colourway and it’s honestly so beautiful ✨🌈

But this blanket will always mean more to me than just a project… it brings back so many memories of Poppy 💗

Making it again feels really special in a quiet kind of way 🫶

🌸 Life Lately

A little bit of life lately… 💛🌿Easter has been such a lovely one this year, Katie was home and it’s been so nice having time with both her and Emily. We celebrated Katie’s 20th birthday 🎂 which still doesn’t feel real, and then took her back to uni until the summer 🎓

Me and Ems had a few days at the caravan with the boys 🐾 she was revising and I was working on a commission, and we both made the most of some slower days ☕ We saw a little calf take its first steps 🐄, some very cute goat kids 🐐 and even spotted the most beautiful Highland cows 🐮 We also walked up Hoad Hill and the views were just amazing! From the mountains in the Lakes 🏔️ to the sea 🌊

I also went to the Spring Into Wool festival in Leeds with @poppingcandycrochet, and it was such a fun day! So much lovely yarn, lots of inspiration, and just a really nice time catching up and wandering around all things wool 🧶✨

🌷 Tulip Festival – A little bit of life lately… and this one really did make my heart full 🌷☀️ I went to the tulip festival at Spilman Farming with some lovely friends and it was just magical! The sun was shining, the tulips were stunning and it was just the loveliest day 💛

✨ Looking Ahead

April has been full of colour, creativity, and lovely moments 💛

I’m really excited to see what May brings… 🧶🌸

Thank you so much for being here!💛

Helen 💛
