What a busy month September has been! There have been some BIG reveals this month, along with new patterns, Yarndale, lots of Happy Place progress and some exciting plans for October. 🧶🍂

After keeping one particularly huge project under wraps for such a long time, it feels very strange but VERY exciting to finally be able to talk about it!

🎄 The 12 Days of Christmas CAL Reveal!

It’s finally out in the world! My 12 Days of Christmas CAL with Stylecraft has officially been revealed! 🎄🧶

I’ve been working on this one behind the scenes for what feels like forever, so finally being able to show you the blanket was such an exciting moment.

The CAL is worked in Stylecraft Special DK and there are two gorgeous colourways to choose from. Joyful, which is full of colour, and Traditional, with those classic Christmas shades. I honestly can’t wait to see which one you all choose!

The Introduction and Getting Ready information are available now, with everything you need to prepare, including materials, dates and all the important CAL details.

The first part will be released on 20th October, so there’s still plenty of time to get ready. 🎅🎁

Which will you choose… Joyful or Traditional?

🍂 Autumn Vibes is Here!

Another design I was FINALLY able to reveal this month was my Autumn Vibes Blanket! 🍂🌈

The pattern is inside Issue 138 of Crochet Now magazine, and this one is packed with all those cosy autumn favourites. Mugs, leaves, candles, pumpkins and mushrooms, finished off with a colourful rainbow border because you know I can’t resist adding a rainbow somewhere! 😂🌈

I made mine using Yarnsmiths Create DK, and yarn packs are also available from Wool Warehouse, so you can grab all the colours together.

It feels like the perfect blanket to have on your hook now the cooler days are creeping in. 🎃🧶

🧶✨ Yarndale 2026!

What a weekend! 🥰

Yarndale is always such a lovely event, but I think one of my favourite parts is getting to spend time with people I usually only get to chat to through Instagram.

We started with a lovely meal on Saturday evening with some Instagram friends, followed by a brilliant day at Yarndale on Sunday. So much yarn, so many beautiful stalls and LOTS of yarny chat! 🩷

And obviously I couldn’t come home completely empty handed… although I was actually very restrained this year! 😂

I picked up some gorgeous stitch markers, a couple of beautiful skeins of yarn, some mini skeins and the cutest little dotty felted bowl from the Skipton Library stall.

Now I just need to decide what to make with everything! 🧶

🩷💛 A New Magic Moss Stitch Shawl

My Magic Moss Stitch Shawl also had a little makeover this month!

The lovely Wendy from Crochet Creations by Wendy made this gorgeous sample for me using two Hobbii Twisters in Déjà Vu (47), and I absolutely LOVE how the colours have worked up. 🩷💛💜💙

We actually took it along to Fountains Abbey back in August for a little photoshoot, and I finally got to share the finished photos this month.

The moss stitch works so beautifully with a colour-changing yarn like this and it’s such a lovely size for wrapping around yourself now autumn is arriving.

🌿 Meet the Heatherwood Cowl!

Another new design has been taking shape this month… the Heatherwood Cowl! 🧶💜

I’ve made this one using the gorgeous Stylecraft Naturals Pure Wool, and I’ve absolutely loved watching all those rich colours and textures come together.

The pattern is currently with my lovely testers and being tech edited, so there isn’t too much longer to wait until I can release this one properly!

I can’t wait to get it out into the world. 🥰

🌈 Happy Place Blanket Update

My Happy Place Blanket is growing too! 🩷🧡

After starting with all those reds and pinks in August, we’ve now started moving into the oranges and I LOVE watching the colours slowly change.

I’m still making the two versions side by side, one in Scheepjes Catona and the other in Yarnsmiths Create DK, and it’s really interesting seeing how the same idea looks in the two different yarns.

I’ve even got my own personalised Happy Place mug now to match my blanket! 😂☕🌈

There are lots more colourful little squares still to come as we continue our journey through the rainbow.

🩷 A Little Hugs & Hearts Throwback

I also revisited an old favourite this month, my Hugs & Hearts Blanket, and shared the larger version.

Made using Hobbii Cascata, it’s packed with hearts, bobbles and lots of gorgeous texture. It’s definitely the sort of blanket you want to curl up underneath with a cuppa as the weather gets cooler. ☕🧶

The pattern comes in baby and large sizes, or you can purchase the bundle containing both.

🧶 Next Stop… The Knit & Stitch Show!

And finally, I’ve got something really exciting coming up in October!

I’m heading to The Knit & Stitch Show at Alexandra Palace in London, where I’ll be joining Simon, The Veteran Knitter, in the Knit Lounge. 🥰🧶

We’ll be there for a good yarny chat, and I’m really hoping I’ll get to meet some of you too!

I’ll be in the Knit Lounge from 10:30am until 12:00pm, so if you’re coming along, please pop over and say hello. 👋💕

You can also get £2 off admission with my discount code:

The discount isn’t valid on Saturdays.

✨ Looking Ahead

September really has been a big one! 🍂🧶

Finally revealing the 12 Days of Christmas CAL has definitely been one of the highlights after working on it in secret for so long. Add in Autumn Vibes, Yarndale, the Heatherwood Cowl, my ever-growing Happy Place Blanket and everything else happening behind the scenes, and it’s certainly been a busy month!

And October isn’t exactly looking quiet either… 😂

We’ve got the 12 Days of Christmas CAL beginning on 20th October, the Knit & Stitch Show and hopefully another new pattern release too.

As always, thank you so much for following along, buying my patterns, sharing your makes and supporting everything I do. It really does mean so much. 🩷

Happy crocheting!
