Wow, April has flown by, and now we’re already heading into May! Crazy, right? Just a little update on my busy life and crochet world! 🧶✨
🌸A Special Birthday & Family Time
April was an exciting month – my eldest turned 19! 🎉 Happy Birthday again, Katie! She was also home from Uni, so it was lovely to have some quality family time together. We escaped to the caravan (our happy place) for a week during the half-term break when Ems was off school. It was the perfect, much-needed break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life! The dogs loved the beach 🐾, and the weather was kind to us, so we made sure to get out every day.

Back home, we enjoyed plenty of walks in the local park 🌳. It was beautiful to see the blossom trees in full bloom, and I was on full blossom watch with my very own little cherry blossom tree in the garden, which finally bloomed! 🌸

Afternoon Tea Fun🍰
I also had a lovely and very posh afternoon tea with my bestie at Alexander’s in Skipton. It was absolutely delicious, but we couldn’t finish it all! The funniest part? My friend booked it ages ago and, when asked about dietary requirements, she forgot to mention that she’s a vegetarian! We had a good laugh over that one. But now for the serious question… Do you put the cream or the jam on your scone first? I obviously do it the proper way – jam first, then cream on top! YUMMY!!! 🍓🍰

Emkatcrochet in April🧶
April was a busy month for Emkatcrochet too, especially with the ‘Spring in Bloom’ CAL! 🌸 Weeks 1–5 have been released, and the comments, messages, and love I’ve received from you all have been overwhelming! Thank you so much for the support! As a designer, you pour your heart and soul into a project, and you never know how it will be received until it’s out there, so your feedback means the world to me. 💖

This month also saw the free pattern release of the Sweet Sundae Mosaic Pouch, which is available on my website! 🍦 Thank you for your lovely feedback and comments – and a massive thanks to my amazing testers who helped bring it to life!

New Yarn Releases & Projects 🌼
Stylecraft released a beautiful new yarn range this month: Soft Baby Stripes! I used the colour Ivy (5370) paired with the gorgeous Stylecraft Bambino in Yummy Yellow (7350) to make a cute version of the Sweet Sundae Mosaic Pouch! I absolutely love how it turned out – the colours are just perfect! 🌼

I also finished a beautiful Granny Heart Bunting in rainbow colours using Hobbii cotton yarn. It’s now brightening up our caravan! Why not add a little extra colour to our happy place? 🌈 It worked up quickly, too, so I’ll be sharing the pattern soon on my website! Keep your eyes peeled! 👀

And in Other News…
I’ll be releasing the stunning Hidden Diamonds Blanket next month! Stay tuned for that – I can’t wait to share it with you all! 🛋️✨
Thank you for being part of this crochet journey with me—I appreciate every like, comment, and share! See you next month for another update.
Happy crocheting! Helen x 🧶💕
