Spring is in the air, and I couldn’t be more excited to share my latest crochet-along (CAL) with you! I’ve teamed up with Wool Warehouse for their very first Yarnsmiths CAL, and it’s all about embracing the beauty of springtime.

The inspiration behind Spring in Bloom CAL comes from the magic of the season – flowers bursting into colour, warm sunshine, clear blue skies, and lush green grass. With that in mind, I’ve created two gorgeous colourways so you can choose the perfect spring vibe for you:

🌸 Bright Spring – A vibrant and joyful palette using the Create DK range. Think bold florals, fresh greens, and a pop of sunshine!
🌿 Pastel Spring – A soft and delicate blend using the Pebble Haze DK range, inspired by dreamy pastels and gentle spring hues.

What You’ll Need

• 4.5mm hook
• Yarn pack either the Create DK or Pebble Haze DK range, depending on your chosen colourway from Wool Warehouse, order here.

What to Expect

The Spring in Bloom CAL will run over six weeks, starting on Wednesday 26th March. Each week, you’ll get a new part of the pattern, guiding you step by step to create a your beautiful Spring in Bloom blanket inspired by spring.

And the best part? There will be YouTube tutorials to help you along the way! This is my very first-time creating video content, so please be kind – I’m both nervous and excited to share this journey with you.

A Little About Me

For those of you who are new to my work, I’ve been crocheting for nine years and designing for just over four. Over the years, crochet has become my true passion. I love how it allows me to turn ideas into tangible creations, and it has become my favourite way to express myself creatively. Spring has always been one of my favourite seasons, filled with its lively colours and sense of renewal, which is why it’s no surprise that it played a big role in this design.
